ColorWheelz@SuperG: Day 2

Today’s color is Battleground BLUE! We explored the network of parks here in Greensboro and shared today’s color for all the park visitors. Today we created temporary stencil art to demonstrate a color illusion called simultaneous contrast. We used a bright orange sand and dull gray/black surface to demonstrate how a color can change in appearance depending on what colors surround it. Here the pavement and cement that initially looks gray or black, appears blue next to the orange sand! We did color samples in photoshop to see if the camera captured the same blue that we were seeing in real life…it definitely did in some cases more than others….see below.
