Today is Owls Roost ORANGE day!

We made more temporary stencil art today to celebrate the color Orange with the Greensboro community. We used a cool gray color sand on neutral color surfaces.  The cool gray/blue color of the sand made the surfaces appear very orange indeed! We also explored how different light situations affect the appearance of surface color. Orange is the warmest color of the spectrum, but under different lighting it can appear  very cool! We found objects exposed to two different light situations and sampled the colors in photoshop to demonstrate what we mean. Look how many different colors ONE object can be, just because of light!
